Tasting notes :
Colour : amber with golden highlights.
Nose : powerful, intense, rich and indulgent with floral, fruity and spicy notes, dried apricot, vanilla and caramel.
Palate : fresh and deep, lively with notes of pear, peach, candied orange, kumquat, honey and dried fig. Well-balanced fruit and wood.
Finish : long, elegant.
Terroir : Bas-Armagnac. Composed of ‘boulbènes’, a cold soil typical of Gascogne, and fawn-coloured sands (ferruginous and sandy-silty soils). Commune of Mauléon d'Armagnac in the Gers.
Grape variety : Baco. This grape variety, grown on this terroir, produces little sugar and has stable acidity, making it perfect for distillation.
Harvest : 1989.
Ageing : 34 years old in French oak barrels.
Enjoy neat in a tulip glass as a digestif.
